As a kid that grew up in a small town, the library was always my favorite place. Our town didn’t have a mall or a Target, but we had a NEW library. The only time I remember truly getting in trouble as a kid was the time I crossed U.S. 41 – a two-lane highway - on my bike to get a book at the library. I was in fifth or sixth grade, and my local library had one set of books 1 -3 in the Harry Potter series. I was on the wait list. I got a call from the library that book 2 was in and the library could hold it for me for one hour. I had two problems, I hadn’t read book 1, but given the town had one set of books, I thought I should take what I could get. My second problem? My parents were not home, and I wasn’t supposed to cross the highway on my bike. I took my chances and went and got the book. I have been a Harry Potter fan since that day, and I write this post while drinking from a Ravenclaw coffee mug.
Making Mommy’s Time available for free was very important to me – books are expensive and can be a luxury for some families. Mommy’s Time is available on Youtube, and if you live in Fort Lauderdale, you may spot print copies of Mommy’s Time in the community library boxes around town. I am also proud to announce that an E-book version of Mommy’s Time is also now available in local libraries across the state of Florida! Mommy’s Time is available in the Indie Florida collection – a collection of books from indie authors curated by the Indie Author Project. Participating libraries will have the book available through BiblioBoard Library - a mobile and web platform. A huge thank you to the Broward County Library system and all they do to support local authors. Their resources have helped me every step of the way in my path to publication.
If you have any issues accessing the E-Book through your library, you can click here to request access.
Happy Reading!
